Who Are We

What the Event is About

Spokane Paint-by-Number is a free community art project sponsored by the Liberty Building
and powered by Pottery Place Plus. This project is gratefully supported by Art Chowder, Office
Depot and Spokane Art Supply.

The 6 ½ x 12-foot three-panel painting features an image of Riverfront Park created by Geri
Griffin (on Instagram @ggriff108). Visitors of all ages are invited to paint this Spokane
masterpiece.

“Paint-by-Number” launches Saturday, June 4th at the Liberty Building, 203 N Washington St in
downtown Spokane. Painting starts at 11am and finishes for the day at 5pm. Additional dates
and locations will be added until “Riverfront Park” is complete!

Participants sign up in person the day of the event and are free to wander downtown until their
group is posted. Groups will be posted in batches of 10 on Instagram, or participants can check
on the progress at the Liberty Building. Wear painting clothes! Everyone can work until their
paint cup is empty and can sign the autograph border.

The “Clock Tower” panel will be taken into the community to reach those who may be unable
to come to our events. Our first stop is Ronald McDonald House of the Inland Northwest.
More locations will be added as needed to complete the project.

The finished “Paint-by-Number” will be unveiled during the Liberty Gallery First Friday
celebration, on August 5th from 5-8pm. It will be on view from August 5th - 28th. The Liberty
Gallery is located on the mezzanine level of the Liberty Building, up the grand staircase in
Auntie’s Bookstore.
